OC Athletic Massage provides customized experiences based on individual goals and needs. Christine is expertly trained in recognizing how posture and different physical activities can affect the body and trigger pain and muscle fatigue. She will customize your session to include the necessary techniques to optimize your recovery and relaxation.
Be sure to arrive early to utilize supplemental devices, such as the Normatec Recovery Legs and the LightStem LED Light for pain management, prior to each session.
Techniques available include:
Begins with a postural assessment and evaluation of joint angles. Various modalities include myofascial release, Swedish, and trigger-point therapy. Includes recommend exercises to benefit and improve physical posture.
Benefits: Increased joint spaces and range of motion. Decreased muscle tension. Allows for more fluid body movements.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Gentle manual sequenced movements to help the lymph system drain stored waste out of your body.
Benefits: Reduces inflammation, swelling, bruising, and cramping, decreasing overall healing time.
Traditional Thai Massage
More active type of massage. A series of modified yoga poses allow for a deeper stretch. This is beneficial for people whose sport or activity involves specific, repetitive range of motion, such as running or biking.
Benefits: Muscles are released, relaxed, and lengthened, which allows for greater range of motion and flexibility.

The ELDOA exercises and Myofascial Stretches (MFS) are specific techniques created by world renowned osteopath, Guy Voyer, DO. ELDOA Method classes are semi-private group classes organized by certified ELDOA Instructor, Christine Ryan, who uses a combination of these techniques to deliver the most beneficial sessions possible.
Classes are not based on a formula. Every class is designed to respect the proper progressions and order of the techniques as taught by Dr. Voyer to ensure quality. These classes will vary depending on the needs of those participating. There will be an intentional goal set for each designated class and will be ever changing to continually challenge each individual while encouraging their overall improvements.
Benefits OF ELDOA Method Classes
ELDOA exercises and Myofascial Stretches (MFS) are very specific and complex techniques that require strong attention to form and correct progressions. Everyone will benefit from the effects of ELDOA exercises and MFS but each person is different and without proper instruction and help from a Certified ELDOA/MFS Instructor, these techniques will not be as effective.
